Dr. Cosín initially specialised in Radiology at the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra, sub- specialising in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (a discipline that treats vascular pathology, among others, by means of a catheter and radiological image-guided procedures). He completed his training with stays at the John Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, USA) and for more than two years in the best centers in the South of France (Rangueil Hospital in Toulouse and Guy de Chauliac, Montpellier).

Later, after working for a few years as a vascular radiologist, he specialised in Angiology and vascular surgery at the Hospital General Universitario de Albacete.

Dr. Cosín thus became the first in Spain to combine these two medical specialties, which are so closely related to the diagnosis and treatment of circulatory problems. His aim: to bring the best of each and to be able to offer the best available treatment for each patient.

As a vascular surgeon, he has developed a special dedication to all venous pathology and in particular to phlebo-aesthetics. He is a consultant for two European companies, one Japanese and one American, as a trainer in their products dedicated to the treatment of varicose veins in the lower limbs and embolization of pelvic varicose veins and in other arterial and venous territories.

He also collaborates as a proctor in aortic and peripheral arterial procedures.

The method of Dr. Cosín’s largest teaching and nursing activities at the national and international levels may be the use of Clarivein® catheters to ablate the saphenous vein. This

method has been performed more than 1,000 operations in different countries and received many trainings.
