VASCULAR TREATMENTS

HAND REJUVENATION

Thanks to the increasingly efficient aesthetic medicine treatments and the good facial care that most people practice, nowadays many people do not look their age. However, the real witnesses of chronological age TODAY ARE THE HANDS.

What does the treatment consist of?

At Delarra we offer a hand rejuvenation programme, in which we assess the three fundamental parameters that are usually affected:

1) TORTUOUS AND DILATED VEINS

2) LACK OF «SUBSTANCE» BETWEEN THE TENDONS ON THE BACK OF THE HANDS

3) SKIN SPOTS

TORTUOUS AND DILATED VEINS

Dilated veins are treated by injecting sclerosants, either in liquid or foam form depending on the type of vein. It is important to know the anatomy of the back of the hand well in order to eliminate those dilated veins that will not cause any alteration in the patient.

In cases of very dilated veins, a small surgical intervention called microphlebectomy can be considered.

LACK OF «SUBSTANCE» BETWEEN THE TENDONS ON THE BACK OF THE HANDS IS USUALLY

Sufficient with the removal of the dilated veins to give the hands a much more youthful appearance. If after removing the veins, the lack of fat that has disappeared in the spaces between the tendons is still evident, this can be solved by injecting hyaluronic acid.

SKIN SPOTS

As a final finish and if necessary, the appearance of the skin will be improved, which is usually damaged due to the high exposure to the sun that the hands suffer from. This is done using our state-of-the-art laser platform.

Recovery: does not require recovery time.

When it works: after a few days, you will notice the absence or thinning of the vein, depending on how the treatment strategy is designed.

Number of sessions: it will depend on the thickness of the veins, sometimes a single session is enough and sometimes a larger number of sessions are required.

Treatment duration: about 30 minutes.

Area to be applied: start by treating the most dilated dorsal veins from the wrist towards the dorsum.

Pain: the needles are very fine, you may feel a little discomfort.

Post treatment tips:

You can lead a normal life once the treatment is finished. Avoid extreme sport in the next 5 days.

A bandage is applied to the back of the hand, which is slightly compressive and must be worn for 24-48 hours. It is preferable during the first hours to try to keep the arms semi-elevated.

Combination with other treatments: If necessary, it would be combined with hyaluronic acid filler and laser therapy to correct sun spots. For each case, what you will most likely need is determined on the day of the first visit.
